Kelly Rowland to Re-Release Ms. Kelly

In a recent interview with the Lantern, they asked her about a re-release of Ms. Kelly and she said this:

The Lantern: Are you reissuing "Ms. Kelly?"

Kelly Rowland: I am actually. I'm going back into the studio to do some more songs. I was very apprehensive at first, but I swallowed my pride. The record industry is very different. Things are going more digital and I want to accommodate my fanbase.

I also heard that it will involve production by J.R. Rotem and Bryan-Michael Cox. If so, she's got it set. Those are two of the biggest producers at the moment.

Trina's Song 'Stolen'; Label Furious

Miami rapper Trina and her label Slip N Slide Records have revealed that her first single "Single Again" which features Christina Milian was stolen from a local recording studio and leaked via the email and the Internet. According to Slip N Slide CEO Ted Lucas, the illegal, stolen version is the wrong track.

"This mishap is extremely unfortunate and the official version of 'Single Again' track featuring Trina by herself will be re-released by the end of the week," Lucas told AllHipHop.com. "I am thankful that nothing else was taken from the computer. I guess we can look at this bizarre experience and move forward with Trina's upcoming project."

According to representatives for Trina, the rapper was "in complete shock" when she realized the single had been stolen. "Single Again" is taken from Trina's upcoming album Da Baddest Chick Part 2: Reloaded, which features guest appearances by Missy Elliott, Gwen Stefani and others.

Well, that's the biz for you. Her official first single will be a song with Missy.

VMAs = WORST VMAs EVER.
First of all, I'd like to say that Britney did not suck and did NOT do horrible. She was nervous because... SHOCKER! It's her first televised performance in what? 4 years, is it? PLUS she overheard that FUCKING BITCH FROM FUCKING HELL Sarah Silverman backstage SECONDS before the show. That bitch should've gotten BANNED FROM MTV after what she did to poor Paris Hilton. MTV, fuck you! If you take a look at the VMAs rehearsal for "Gimme More" here:

So much energy and confidence... Take a look at how badly words can hurt...:

Stupid Sarah Silverman ruined her performance... She should go hide under a rock or something because SHE FUCKING SUCKS. I hate her, and I don't hate anyone for anything. I am really sad. So much potential... By the way, what the hell happened with the Criss Angel thing? There was no magic... Britney, contrary to what people say, we still support you. Always have, always will.
Back to the VMAs, the show was seriously horrible. I was confused. What was actually happening? There were all these different rooms and places, I got dizzy!
EDIT: Just read an article on USA Today saying Ashanti rolled her eyes and walked away when she was asked about Britney's performance. Boo Shany!! Didn't think you were like that! For real, KARMA.

Some singers take two-year breaks between albums. Rihanna is working on her third disc, just two years after releasing her first.
"It's a nonstop pace, very speedily, and Def Jam does not play, that's all I can tell you," she joked of her record label in an interview with The Associated Press. "We just keep going and going it's fun, we make sure that we have fun while we do it."
The hits are likely to keep coming and coming for the 19-year-old Barbados beauty, who has had success with "S.O.S.," "Unfaithful" and "Break It Off." Her new single, "Umbrella," was due out Thursday, the first song from her upcoming, not-yet-titled album, set for release June 5.
"It shows such growth for her as an artist," Def Jam President Shawn Carter, better known as Jay-Z, told the AP. "If you listen to the lyrics to that song, you know the depth and how far she's come."
Jay-Z delivers the opening salvo on the dramatic song, about the strength of a relationship.
Rihanna said the song can be about a romantic or platonic relationship.
"`Umbrella' is a serious song, a relationship song. ... It's different, and that's what I love about it," she said. "People are not going to expect a song like that from me."
The singer made her debut with island-flavored dance groove "Pon de Replay" in 2005, from her debut album, "Music of the Sun." Less than a year later, she released "A Girl Like Me," a platinum success that broadened her mainstream appeal.
Artists usually don't release another album so quickly, especially when they're having success with their current one. But Island Def Jam Chairman Antonio "LA" Reid said Rihanna's upcoming album, which features labelmate Ne-Yo and a song written by Justin Timberlake, is being released this summer because the label feels it's that good.
"In the past, Rihanna has made really great singles. This time, Rihanna has not only made really great singles, but a great album," he told AP. "We want people to hear it now and experience it now."
But fans may be surprised by what they hear.
"My sound has changed," Rihanna said. "It's a lot edgier than the rest of the stuff that anyone has heard from me before. I'm singing about different things, it's a lot sexier."
She also considers the album more adult, reflecting the quick growth she's had to do in her short time in the spotlight.
"This business really helps you to find out who you are, and how strong you are," she said. "You need strength and determination with all the negativity coming at you sometimes ... I've grown a lot."
Part of the negativity Rihanna has faced involved talk of an alleged affair with mentor Jay-Z. Rihanna said the rumor was upsetting but she's learned not to let the gossip mill get her down.
"At first I was like, `Ha ha, it's funny,'" she said. "Now I just ignore it and I'm numb to it. ... You cannot stop people from saying what they want to say."

Q1: When is your album coming out, and what is it titled?
I'm working on getting the album out by the end of this year. Im still not sure what I want to call it. I have a few ideas though
Q2: What will be the first single, or is a strong candidate for the first single?
Im still in the process of recording so I cant really say. It would probably be a new song cause the ones on my My Space page are pretty old already.
Q3: Which producers did you work with? Is it true that you worked with Akon?
I havent had the pleasure of working with Akon. I met him once though. Hes a talented guy. Ive worked with Ryan Leslie, The CornaBoyz, Rico Love, Static, and Mario Winans to name a few,
Q4: How do you keep your beautiful voice in shape?
Thank you! I just sing any chance that I get. I make sure to stay warm and protect my throat in cold weather. I also try not to yell or strain my voice. Vocal excercises are also the key.
Q5: How was it like working with Lil' Flip on the smash hit, "Sunshine"?
It was pretty cool. Hes a nice guy and very respectful for a rapper. It was weird traveling with a bunch of guys but they made is easier by being really sweet :)
Q6: Who would you love to duet with?
Probably Robin Thicke. I love that man!
Q7: What is your favorite song at the moment?
Im loving Robin Thicke's whole album
Q8: Where do you find inspiration to write songs?
Id have to say through experiences I have been through and experiences that friends have been through.
Q9: Is is true you're dating Lil' Flip? And, if not, are you in a relationship?
Definitely NOT! Flip and I did a song together and that was IT! Nothing more. Im not currently dating. Music is my number one passion.
Q10: What is your favorite type of music?
I love all types of music. I can appreciate all art forms. I mostly listen to R&B though
Q11: What is, in your opinion, the best song you ever recorded?
Id have to say Im Gone cause its the first song where I actually push my range and reach my potential as a vocalist.
Q12: Alot of artists are shedding their clothes to sell. Do you feel the pressure to do that? (I hope not!)
Not at all. Im such a tomboy and my whole life Ive been more comfortable wearing baggy comfortable clothes. Dont get me wrong, it is fun to dress sexy sometimes and IM sure Ill fit in a Maxim cover here and there but it wont be to sell albums. It'll mostly be like playing dress up! I have faith that my talent alone can sell albums. We'll just have to wait and see if it does :)

Lindsay Lohan, according to YAHOO!, recently confirmed that she's going to rehab. Check out the article here:
"I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health. I appreciate your well wishes and ask that you please respect my privacy at this time," said the 20-year-old actress in a statement issued Wednesday through her publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick.
Us Weekly reports that Lohan entered the posh Wonderland Center in Los Angeles at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, arriving in a sports utility vehicle and clutching a Jamba Juice.
Zelnick confirmed to The Associated Press in December that Lohan was attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

Q1: I recently saw the video of you performing on your MySpace. You did amazing!!! How do you keep your beautiful voice in shape?
I do funny sounding vocal exercises, warm-ups etc. The show I did in Virginia was hectic I didn't have time to warm up or anything. We were stuck in the airport taveling 17 hrs and I had to run right on stage and perform straight from the airport. LOL The show must go on. :)
Q2: Your song, "Dying 2 Tell U", is amazing!! Can you tell me other song titles?
Other song titles are "Stand Up" encouraging women or men to stand alone for a while until the right one comes along. "Just Asking" - asking the true intentions of a potential soul mate :)
Q3: "I Like My Man Hard", produced by Scott Storch, was supposed to be your first single. Why did you change it to "Bring It Home"? Was it because of Chris Brown's copycat single?
No It was because the label took too long to move on it. But It was the official soundtack to the Book "Sex.Lies.Muder.Fame" written by Lolita Files. It was the first time a book had a sound track. :) The label wanted people to know that I'm a real singer. I thought Bring It Home was a good single -people always enjoy it when I perform it live.
Q4: What is the title of your album? When will it be released?
The title of my album and release I can not disclose. There have been major changes even with my label, which are better for me. It will take a little while longer for my album to release but It is definitely a better situation and strategy for success..
Q5: What are your favorite songs and/or albums at the moment? (Please don't say Justin Timberlake)
I like Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" :) I don't have a favorite song or album right now. I've been listening to old stuff.
Q6: What should fans, like myself, expect of your album? Will it be uptempo or all ballads?
My album is going to be a combination of uptempo, mids and ballads but it's definitely going to feel good. :)
Q7: Are you single, or are you in a relationship?
I've been single for a while now and I like it. ;) Freedom has its rewards.
Q8: You are one of the few artists that REALLY contacts their fans. How do you find the time to do that with your hectic schedule?
I have someone assist me in alot of things so it makes it a little easier. It may take me some time to respond ,but I will. :)
Q9: What producers did you work with, and who do you want to work with?
I would like to work with Polo, Timbeland, and B.Cox. I have worked with Adonis Shropshire, Scott Storch, Eric Dawkins, Tricky Stewart, Ralph Stacey, Steve Huff etc..
Q10: There are rumors floating around that Diane Martel, who directed videos for Mariah Carey and Kelly Clarkson, is going to direct the video for "Bring It Home". Is that true?

Q11: Your songwriting is fantastic!! I still get chills listening to the lyrics of The Braxton's "Never Say Goodbye". Where do you get your inspiration?
Thank you. My inspiration is life. I wrote that from the heart. I try to write from the heart or other's hearts. :)

I co-wrote three songs with Mekeba Riddick but I have not worked with Swiz z Beatz -not yet anyway. That might be a good idea ha ha ha :)

They are working with producers Noise Trip (who did songs for Fergie's debut), Polow Da Don, Max Martin, Lil' Jon and others. The first single, "Can't Stop Us", is supposed to be sent to radio in the Summer, after Fergie stops promoting The Dutchess. The album is set for a Sep '07 release.

According to this article, Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z are going to get married. Honestly, I doubt it, because I've read over fifty articles saying they'll get married over the past two years and it's never happened. Why should it now? If they do, than CONGRATS to the both of them, if not, okay. They'll get married when they're ready.

Katharine McPhee's debut album, due January 30th, is tentatively titled Never Saw It Comin', according to Billboard. I don't like the title AT ALL. I love the clips I heard, though. "Over It" is breathtaking!! I simply CAN'T WAIT for Kat's album. She's my favorite AI contestant. Never Saw It Comin' includes production by Timbaland protege, Nate Hills, Ryan Leslie, Kara DioGaurdi and UNeSS. The first single is rumored to be "Open Toes".

Ciara is set to debut at NUMBER UNO with her sophomore, Ciara: The Evolution!! She is expected to sell around 325 k. Congrats CiCi! Also, the annoying Eminem is presumed to debut at #2 selling 280 k. Didn't he retire?? I swear, these rap people presumabely retire, but release a new album... *rolls eyes* Gwen Stefani's The Sweet Escape is #3, expecting to sell 250 k, which is good. I expected her to do much better, though. The Dreamgirls OST is expected to sell around 125 k, but it might get higher on the films worldwide release on Dec. 25, Christmas day.
