CRAIG DAVID WAS DROPPED?!
Craig David has surprisingly been dropped by his record label Warner Music / Atlantic Records He was signed to Warner Music / Atlantic Records after his old label Telstar Records went bankrupt and released his third album 'The Story Goes' which reached number 5 in the album charts. The first two singles released from the album were very successful especially the top 4 hit 'Don't Love You No More' which lasted in the charts for a very lenghty period of time however, the third single 'Unbelievable' was less successful and became his most unsuccessful top 40 hit to date charting at a dissapointing 18. It was also his second lowest charting single ever. A forth and final double A side release was planned this was to be called Hypnotic / Johnny however due to the failure of Unbelievable and the single failing to help the album make a significant re-entry to the album charts, the fourth double A side single was pulled. David was thought to be in the process of writing his fourth album however his label weren't prepared to wait so he has left the label by 'Mutual Agreement'. David is set to appear on Sky One reality TV Show 'The Match' in September and is thought to already have offers from various record labels to sign up to.
That's the story that's been floating around. That's some bullshit... I just heard (courtesy of Monica [link on the side]) that he's working on his fourth album on SIRE Records. I wish him all the best!
