R&B Gossip/News

The above picture is from Paris Bennett's new video for the Darkchild produced "Ordinary Love". The track is HAWT!!! I also like "Burnt Up" and "Dreamin'" by Paris. The video is scheduled to premiere on Yahoo! Music by the end of the month. Her debut album, Princess P, is in stores this spring!

Hilary Duff's upcoming album, Confessions of Love, is going to be released on April 3. It includes production by Tim & Bob (Mya, Destiny's Child, Madonna) , Kara DioGaurdi (Paris Hilton, Ashlee Simpson, The Pussycat Dolls), 4 time Grammy winner, Manny Marroquin (John Mayer, Alicia Keys, Kanye West), Richard Vission (Usher, Sting, Killers) and Will.I.Am (Fergie, LAX, Kelis). The first single, "Play With Fire", didn't fare well on the charts, but I have high hopes for "With Love"!! "With Love" is already available to request on Radio Disney, so REQUEST, REQUEST, REQUEST!!
Silena Murrell has switched to a 'bigger and better' record label. The reasons that she left Interscope are unknown, but I think it has something to do with NO PROMOTION. Anyways, I am really looking forward to her new album. I will also post an album sampler this Thurday, so check it out!!

Lindsay Lohan, according to YAHOO!, recently confirmed that she's going to rehab. Check out the article here:
"I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health. I appreciate your well wishes and ask that you please respect my privacy at this time," said the 20-year-old actress in a statement issued Wednesday through her publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick.
Us Weekly reports that Lohan entered the posh Wonderland Center in Los Angeles at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, arriving in a sports utility vehicle and clutching a Jamba Juice.
Zelnick confirmed to The Associated Press in December that Lohan was attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
Lohan told People magazine then that she had been going to the meetings for a year.

That's good. She was really wearing herself out... I hope she comes back with new music soon. I loved both her last albums. I'm also a huge fan. Get better, L. Lo!

In other news, Kelly Rowland's new single is titled "Put It In" and will be released in February. Source Sounds hot!!!!! The new single is from the new album, aptly titled Miss Kelly. It boasts collaborations with producers Rich Harrison, StarGate and Kwame.

So... I was looking for R&B gossip, and I came across this on BEAUTY N THE BEAT:
Timbaland jacked up a beat from an unknown producer for Nelly Furtado's song "DO IT" and he didn't give the producer any money or creditation. The producer is contemplating suing Timbo. Also,
The chorus from Justin Timberlake's hit single "My Love" was originally from a song by Keke Le Roc...
That's pretty fucked up!

VanNew Singles
Vanessa Carlton/Heroes & Thieves
I love this song!!!! It's so inspirational. It seems Vanessa hasn't strayed much from her original style, but I'm sure she'll have some club bangas on her album with the same name.
R&B Gossip/News
It's official! Ciara's next single is "Like A Boy" (Prod. by Calvo Da Gr8)
I've always wanted this to be a single, so I'm happy!!

The music scene has been quiet than ever nowadays... These are 3 music videos that premiered today:
EMMA BUNTON/All I Need To Know (Changing Me)
I was so touched by this video. I like it. It's elegant and Emma looks beautiful than ever. I like this song much more than "Downtown". I hope this is the hit that will propell her sales up. Life In Mono in stores now!
Vanessa Hudgens/Say OK
I was very dissapointed by this. I thought it'd be a nice video, but it turns out it's a live video. I already saw this video ages ago in concert. Hot song, sucky video.
All Saints/Chick Fit
I have to admit... I'm enjoying their album!! The songs are catchy and good!! Speaking of the video, it's very hot!!! I'm loving this song more and more now!!
Drew Seeley's album is rumored to be out this Spring. Seriously, I've been waiting for this album from forever!!! I read on Wiki that it leaked in full, but I couldn't find a link. HELP!!
Victoria Beckham is amazing!!!! I love every song I've heard from her! I even made an album with unreleased songs I found. Come Back, VICTORIA!!

Ciara/Get Up (Zone 4 Remix) (Feat. Polow)
Wow!!! Hot remix. Polow sings???? The song is mysterious... in a good way! It includes new vocals and lyrics, and it's refreshing.
Okay, so that song "Work Out" is not by Keyshia Cole. It's by Akelee. It's still a banga, though, so check it out!
I am soooo anticipating the new Hilary Duff song and album!!!!!!!! Someone mentioned that she'll be on TRL next week, so maybe she'll premiere it!!!!
Shakira/Pure Intuition
English version of a song on ORAL FIXATION VOL. 1!!! I'm feelin' this! I also have the reggaeton spanglish version, which I'll up in a few.

Monica (MMania) and Toya, thanks for showing love for FUNKY-MEDIA!!!!!!!!!! Chinchill, thanks for that Alesha Dixon track!! It's bananas!!! Joey (AKA JoeyJackpot): You've been a real friend, thanks. Also, Rihanna, Latavia Roberson(when u coming out with a mixtape?) for answering my questions! Chris and Rixhe for being affiliates. My family over at GoAshanti, and BP Forums and THE-IDX. Last but not least, my REAL family for making things happen!
So I decided to end the poll, and here's the results!

1. Ciara/Promise (The Evolution)
So Cici won by a hair... getting 19 votes. No surprise there considering everyone is loving her new album. Don't get me wrong, though, she totally deserves it!!!

2. Beyonce/Irreplaceable (B'Day)
18 votes... one vote short. Someone voted last minute for CiCi, so... I love this song, though! It's the current No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and Bee deserves it. Congrats Bee!!
3. Christina Aguilera/Ain't No Other Man (Back To Basics)
14 votes. Christina went all jazz for her latest album... and everyone liked it! This song was a huge hit, and it's hot!! Go Xtin.. I mean, Baby Jane!!
4. Rihanna/SOS (A Girl Like Me)
I love this song!!! Rihanna really did amazing this year!!!! This was my pick, but it came in fourth, scoring 12 votes. I hope Rihanna comes back stronger than ever in '07!!
5. Nelly Furtado/Maneater (Loose)
Nelly started to dance this year, and everyone was feelin' it. Her song "Promiscuous" was a No. 1 hit in the U.S., while "Maneater" was an international hit, getting No. 1 in more than 5 countries. Her infectious album was also a huge hit. She got 11 votes.
6. Monica/Beat Drop (Makings of Me)
7 votes. Hated the song, loved the album. "Beat Drop" was my least fave song off of MOM... I wonder why it was even chosen as a single. It was a hit, though... TOP 40 U.S.
7. Shakira/Don't Bother (Oral Fixation Vol. 2)
Shakira got 3 votes. Good for her!! I enjoyed both this album and song... Can't wait for her duet with Beyonce!
8. Jamelia/Beware of The Dog (Walk With Me)
Jamelia went rock and nobody noticed... expect the 2 people that voted for her and moi...oh, and PopJustice, too. Anyways, this song is hot!!

Only 1 person was feeling this 'evolution'... strange, yet true...
10. Fantasia/Hood Boy (Fantasia)

Best Album of '06:

1.LeToya by LeToya
I bet you didn't see this coming. I didn't gush over this album as I have others, but honestly, this is a masterpiece. The songs aren't overdone or underdown, they're just right and perfect.
